The work we are doing here is the culmination of 20 years of learning and growth fueled by a burning desire to leave our industry in a better place than when we found it. The other day, I was listening to the song, “Stay” by Rihanna, and one of her lyrics hit me like a lighting bolt. “All along, it was a fever. A cold sweat, hot-headed believer.” - this perfectly describes the calling I feel to build AppIt. It’s not easy, it’s not safe, but it’s necessary.
I started my career in tech just before the first iPhone was brought to market. I matured as a professional alongside the evolution of smartphones and app stores. I have seen the shift from social networking to social media to what we see today, along with the massive, at times detrimental changes it has brought to our society. I feel in my core that we can do better and that we are sitting on the precipice of a new era of content distribution, social networking, and technology as a whole. I also strongly believe that technology is a tool meant to be used by humans, not to replace them. Tech, astounding in its capabilities, will never be able to replicate the curiosity, creativity, and connection driven by the even-more-impressive human brain.
My determination to leave a positive mark on our community and industry, combined with my conviction that we can do better with technology, is why I am dedicated to my work. We are on a mission to deliver quality technology to good businesses in service of their clients. We believe that technology, done the right way, has the power to improve people’s lives, and that’s why we are passionate about delivering high-value apps each and every time.
